Comic Book Review: Back to the Future: Untold tales and alternate timelines

Back to the Future was arguably the greatest sci-fi trilogy in movie history. But for fans of the trilogy, there were always questions left unanswered. Now thanks to a new trade paperback from IDW Publishing we get some of those answers fans have been longing for.

Untold tales and alternate timelines are the first five issues of this new comic series collected in one big book. This collection of short tales deals with all of our favorite Back to the Future characters. In the first tale we see "How Marty met Emmett". Other tales deal with how Doc got the money to build the time machine and many more great tales.

What makes this book such a home run for me is that Bob Gale the original screenwriter came on board and wrote or co-wrote every single story in this collection. That's Heavy! It seems like it hits a bullseye on get the heart of Back to the Future.

This trade paperback is 120 pages of Back to the future fun for all ages. Each story has it's unique artistic style and flare which makes this book so much fun to read. The stories range from Hill Valley in the time of Marty to the Old West with Doc and even the Jurassic Period with Old Biff.
