Dogs on the Job: Documentary Series

Reviewed by Jason Lockard

One of my pet peeves is when people call dogs "dumb animals". They are anything but that. Dog are smart, loving and protective creatures. They feel pain when they hurt and joy when they see their owners after they come home from a long day at work. But beyond this dogs can be trained to so some of the most amazing jobs.

The fine folks at Mill Creek Entertainment have released a heart-warming documentary series about man's best friend. Let's take a look at what is included on this seven episode series.

1. Wolves Become Dogs

2. Dogs Move Into the Stage and Stadium

3. Herding and Mushing

4. The Nose Will Get the Job Done

5. Police and Military

6. Dogs Helping People Live Normal Lives

7. Protection and Companion.

As you can see with the titles of each episode. This series takes us on a journey from the origins of our canine friends to what they can become. Helping the military and the police, to being service dogs for the handicap, to even being companions to our brave service men and women. These are more than just animals these are amazing creations of God given to mankind for help.

All seven of these episode are presented in Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78:1 format with Dolby digital audio. The quality of the productions are top notch an well as the transfers of these films to the DVD. I found this documentary series to be insightful and entertaining.
