The Dick Cavett Show Inside the minds of... Volume 1

Reviewed by Jason Lockard

For almost 30 years Dick Cavett interviewed almost every influential, entertaining and interesting figure from the world of sport, Hollywood, politics and more.

S'More Entertainment have decided to go inside the minds of some of the most amazing comedians. In this collection, 'Inside the minds volume 1'. On this DVD Cavett talks with groundbreaking comedians.

Robin Williams: This is a two part interview with Williams prior to the release of Popeye but at the height of his fame as Mork on the show Mork and Mindy.

''Bobcat'' Goldthwait: This interview took place shortly before Bobcat's 1993 gig as opening act for Nirvana's final North American tour.

Richard Lewis: This interview took place during Richard's stint starring on Anything But Love.

Gilbert Gottfried:
This interview took place while Gottfried was appearing on SNL and in the midst of the release of 2 films and other television work.

Dick Cavett was a one of a kind interviewer! Arguably the best to ever to do it! You could truly tell he enjoyed the job of getting to the stories behind what made these people tick.

All of the interviews are amazing, but of course Robin Williams is the standout. He is off the wall funny. His kinetic energy is undeniable. This was more of a stand-up comedy show, than an interview and I mean that in the best way possible.

It is good to note that these interviews there is some adult themes and language. So these are not for the small kids. But the adults will find so much entertainment and some insight into the minds of what makes a comedian tick.

The episodes included on this DVD look and sound amazing! I really find it a joy to have this in my collection and to be able to relive these interviews time and time again.

So If you love unabashed interviews. If your a fans of Robin Williams, Bobcat Goldthwait, Richard Lewis and Gilbert Gottfried this DVD it a must own! I highly recommend this one! Head over to MVDshop.com and pick up your copy today.
