Campin' Buddies (2014) {DVD Review}

Reviewed By: Jason S. Lockard

I grew up on the classics! Green Acres, Happy Days and Ray Stevens comedy videos. It's in my blood! So when I saw Campin Buddies featuring people from these classics all in one place! I had to check it out!

The "Campin Buddies" film follows two hillbilly buddies named Tom and Rayford (Tom Lester and Ray Stevens) who hear of a camping contest where the winner get a tricked out bus "fit for a country/western star". But in order to win this bus they must capture the biggest a fish, varmint, and bird. As you may figure Tom and Ray in the woods is a recipe for hilarity.

In addition to Tom and Ray this film also features Don Most (Ralph from Happy Days) and Victoria Jackson from Saturday night live fame. Victoria is back to her roots in this film playing about 7 different characters.

This film is a mix of slapstick and one-liners that will keep you laughing! It is a family friendly film with no offensive material! When was the last time you could say that about a film? The theme song is a new one from Ray Stevens himself, plus there is another song by Ray in the film! Of course it's not a perfect film sometimes it's a little slow in places and some of the jokes fall a little flat, but all and all it's a really fun little film!

So if you love slapstick comedy! If you love Ray Stevens or Victoria Jackson! This is a must watch! You can buy a DVD for $12.95 or a blu-ray for $14.95. If you like the streaming option you can buy a digital copy for $10.99 or rent a digital for $3.99. Head over to www.campinbuddiesmovie.com for more details!
