Synopsis: During an eclipse, Aisling (Alexandra Dowling, Emily, The Musketeers) makes a wish on a falling star that will either change or destroy her life. Archangel Raphael (John Rhys-Davies, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade, and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy) entrusts the star's life force to Aisling, but as the light draws dangerous villains who hunt her, Joshua (Diego Boneta, Terminator: Dark Fate, Luis Miguel: The Series), a charismatic stranger, comes to their aid. In Aisling he recognizes a shared loss, passing through time, space and destiny. Together they discover the star's true power, not to grant wishes, but the courage to hope, forgive and love. From the darkness comes the light and all things are possible.... if you believe!
The story may be a bit confusing at times, but it is a spectacle. There is a great cast and it has a simply magical performance by one of my favorites John Rhys-Davies. This is truly an unforgettable fantasy adventure with a great moral.
MVD Visual has transferred Starbright to Blu-ray in 1080p and is presented in 2.39:1 aspect ratio. There are three audio tracks to choose from: English 2.0, 5.1 and 7.1. There are also English Closed Captions for the hearing impaired, plus Subtitles in Italian, German, Latin American Spanish, Castilian Spanish, Canadian French, and Parisian French.

For me, there is nothing like bonus features to take a release from good to great. And that is exactly what happens here with this release. Now the movie is not perfect. It suffers from a length of over 2 hours but all the Blu-ray bonus features make up for the film's shortcomings.
