Series 29 (that is what British TV calls a season) of Silent Witness is now on DVD. Now, fans of this series can relive these episodes time after time. Again and again. Never having to worry about streaming. That to me is a huge plus.
Synopsis: As Nikki, Jack, Harriet and Kit settle into their new lab - The Bowman Centre of Excellence, in Birmingham - their caseload remains as complex as ever. Investigations feature cutting-edge AI being weaponized to fuel racial tensions. A confession that reignites a case that swept the nation. An elderly gentleman found impaled by a screwdriver. Elsewhere, Jack faces a life-threatening predicament. And the death of a Chinese-British activist ignites complex international tensions.
This award-winning series returns for a thrilling 10 episodes. These episodes are filled with dramatic stories, great writing and tremendous acting. The series moved to Birmingham, which offered new regions and fresh adventures with a much more gritty feel. It truly worked.
These episodes have been transferred to DVD in widescreen format and is presented in 2.00:1 aspect ratio. The audio track is an English Dolby Digital 5.1. There is also the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
There are no bonus features found on this 3-disc DVD set and these discs made-on-demand, burned discs, not pressed ones. As you know by now. I am not a fan of these burned discs. Those don't seem to hold up as well over the years.
