Academy Award Winning Film The Accountant is coming to Blu-ray

In 2001 Ray McKinnon directed and starred in a short comedy drama entitled The Accountant. That film would go on that year to win The Academy Award for best Short Film. It's hard to believe but this film is celebrating it's 25th birthday.

Now of the 25th birthday Lightyear Entertainment are released this Academy Award winning film on Blu-rayfor this first time ever.

Synopsis: Brothers Tommy (Walter Goggins) and David O'Dell (Eddie King) are in desperate financial straights, so they call in an expert. A mysterious chain-smoking accountant (Ray McKinnon) with a knack for numbers and a fondness for beer arrives - not just to save the far, but to stop a national conspiracy and save the day.

This film runs 38 minutes and really has strong performances by Ray McKinnon (O Brother Where Art Thou, Deadwood, Blindside) and Walton Goggins (White Lotus, The Righteous Gemstones, Justified, Fallout, Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight). The story is a very interesting one. It's a film you won't soon forget.

Lightyear Entertainment have remastered and transferred this film to Blu-ray. It is presented in 1080p and is in 1.78:1 aspect ratio. the audio track is an English 2.0 Stereo track. The gritty backwoods cinematography really benefits from this HD transfer. The picture is crisp and clean and there is no signs of damage to this print whatsoever.

Along with this gorgeous looking Blu-ray film transfer Lightyear Entertainment added the film's trailer as a bonus feature. This is a bit disappointing. I would have loved to see some interviews, audio commentaries, ect. That would have made this Blu-ray so much better.

If you are a fan of Academy Award winning films. Why not try The Accountant! You can add this film to your home video library by heading overt to MVD Shop or Amazon and ordering your copy today.

Out of 4 film reels (4 being the best) the Blu-ray or The Accountant receives.....
