When Titans Ruled the Earth: Clash of the Titans and Wrath of the Titans Blu-ray Review

When you say Clash of the Titans most film fans think of the Ray Harryhausen 80s classic. The stop motion animation of that classic has become legend. But for years there had been desire to remake this classic tale, but the CGI technology was just not there.

Than in 2010 as the technology had become a viable option, Warner Brothers decided to update the classic tale. So the Sam Worthington action was born. Now for the 14th anniversary of the films release, Arrow Video have decided to release both Clash and Wrath of the Titans on a deluxe Blu-ray and 4K release, entitled "When Titans rules the Earth!"

Our Rating System:
****=Don’t Miss it!
***=Worth a look.
**=An Ok way to spend an evening.
*=You haven’t missed anything.

Clash of the Titans (2010)
Perseus (Sam Worthington), son of a god but raised as a man, is helpless to save his family from Hades (Ralph Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson), king of the gods, and unleash hell on earth. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, can Perseus accept his power and defy fate to create his own destiny? ***

Wrath of the Titans (2012)
Ten years after his heroic battle with the monstrous Kraken, with Perseus now living a quiet life by the sea with his young son. But war is raging between the gods and the Titans, and Perseus learns of a treacherous plan for world domination by his power-hungry uncle Hades and godly half-brother Ares (Édgar Ramírez). No longer able to ignore his calling, Perseus joins forces with warrior queen Andromeda (Rosamund Pike), Poseidon’s demigod son Agenor (Toby Kebbell) and fallen god Hephaestus (Bill Nighy) to enter the underworld, rescue the banished Zeus and overthrow the Titans once and for all. ***

These two films are action-packed adventures. There is no real time to get bored with these films as the action just keeps going. Sam Worthington comes into this film fresh off of Avatar, but he is not taking it easy. He brings everything he has to the role of Perseus. But the star-studded cast delivers on their performances as well, bringing these mythical tales to life.

Arrow Video have transferred these two films to Blu-ray in 1080p and presented in widescreen format. The audio is an o
riginal 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio surround. Finally, There is the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
