The Tuxedo (2002) Blu-ray Review

When you are looking for an action-packed fun adventure, they don't come much better than the films of Jackie Chan. Now by no means am I saying Jackie Chan films are great films, no, but they are fun times at the movies.

Jackie Chan enjoys making films you can see that from the film outtakes. I always love to watch the Rush Hour films or Shanghai Noon, Around the World in 80 Days, and The Spy next Door. And one of the perfect vehicle's for Jackie Chan's action was that of 2002's The Tuxedo.

Synopsis: Jimmy Tong (Jackie Chan) is an ordinary cabbie-turned-chauffeur who slips into a 2 billion-dollar, super-spy suit and inadvertently becomes a dashing secret agent. Fit for trouble, this deluxe tux unwittingly thrusts Chan and his dazzling partner (Jennifer Love Hewitt) into a dangerous world of international espionage.

The Tuxedo is far from Jackie Chan's best film. While the sight gags and jokes are a bit cliché. But Jackie Chan plays the role with every bit of his being. And Jennifer Love Hewitt is a fun comedic foil to Jackie Chan's martial arts action star. Some of the jokes in this society will be deemed offensive. But there is no doubt about the fun factor of the off the wall craziness! Watch for Jackie Chan filling in for the hardest working man in entertainment James Brown. This is a funny highlight!

The Tuxedo has been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p it is presented in widescreen format. There are two audio options, an English 5.1 Dolby TrueHD and A French 5.1 Dolby Digital. There is also the option for English and French subtitles.

The Tuxedo looks and sounds amazing in High Definition! The colors are bright look like something out of a comic book. The audio is clear with. The picture is crisp and there is no digital artifacts on this Blu-ray transfer. But a great looking transfer is not all this Blu-ray has going for it. Take a look at the bonus features included.

* The Cutting Room Floor: Deleted Scenes, Extended Scenes and Outtakes and Bloopers
* The Tailor Made for Jackie Chan
* Theatrical Trailer

As much as I love the fun of a Jackie Chan film, I really enjoy the crazy outtakes and bloopers. So the addition of those plus the featurette of the making of this film adds so much to the cool factor of this Blu-ray release.

When I received this Blu-ray I was excited, but there is one thing that is a bit of a bummer for me. This Blu-ray is a made-on-demand. Now it looks and sounds amazing and the bonus features are great. But I prefer pressed discs. Pressed discs have a much longer life expectancy than burned discs.

If you love the action comedies of Jackie Chan or are a fans of Jenifer Love Hewitt well, why not add a Blu-ray to your collection that features both. Add The Blu-ray of The Tuxedo to your collection by heading over to MovieZyng and ordering your copy today!

Out of 4 Films Reels (4 being the best) the Blu-ray release of The Tuxedo receives......
