John Cena announces his retirement!

John Cena made a surprise appearance at Saturday's Money in the Bank PLE. As he came out  his gear had printed on it "The Last Time is Now"! This shocked audiences! After running to the ring he announced that he would officially retire forever from in ring competition in 2025.

Now it is pretty regular for wrestlers they retire and than un-retire. They come back for one more match so on. But at the post show press conference he stated there will be no matches after this retirement tour. Now I can actually see this sticking as John Cena has been building a career in Hollywood starring in TV and Movies.

John Cena said at the post Money inthe Bank press conference that in 2025 he will be scheduled for around 30 to 40 dates. Including Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and Wrestlemania XLI.

Now it is interesting to note that John Cena is a 16 time world champion and Ric Flair was the only 16 time world champion before Cena tied that record. Now with this farewell tour the question is will John Cena score one more world title to break the tie with Ric Flair? Well Only time will tell.

This is just the end of hus in ring career, he said he would still be a part of WWE. He would just be retiring the jolts and we would see him in a suit.

One thing is for sure this is going to be a fun final tour one not to be missed. We are looking for many exciting matches. Already Baron Corbin and The Nigerian Giant Omas have put a bid in on social media for a match with Cena on his farewell tour. I am sure there will be more!

So are you sad to see Cena retire let us know in the comments and as Always thanks for visiting the Classic Cinema+ Wrestling New Hub!
