Daddy Daughter Trip (2022) DVD Review

Rob Schneider first gained notoriety from his time on SNL (Saturday Night Live). He would go on to star in many off the wall and crazy comedy films. We saw him in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, The Animal, The Hot Chick, The Benchwarmers, Big Stan and many more.

Now over the past few years Rob Schneider has made some statements that have made him not so popular. Well, we are not here to discuss that. We are only here to talk about his latest film Daddy Daughter Trip now on DVD.

Larry Bublé, an ambitious yet broke inventor, is struggling to keep his family eating and sleeping indoors. When he promises his eight-year-old-daughter the spring break vacation of a lifetime, he is forced to get more inventive than ever before.

One of the major differences between this film and other Rob Schneider films is this one is family friendly. Schneider in his prime was known for his raunchy humor. Well, you don't have to worry about that here. He is still his goofy crazy off the wall self. Just not as filthy. 

Daddy Daughter Trip is a cute and fun adventure for the whole family to sit down and enjoy together. But to be honest some of the joke fall a little flat. It is not a perfect film not by a longshot, but it is a good film to escape from that cares of this life for a while.

Along with Rob Schneider he is joined by his daughter Miranda Schneider, Jackie Sandler (wife of Adam Sandler) and the comedy legend John Cleese (Monty Python's Flying Circus).  

The film has been transferred to DVD in widescreen format in 1.85:1 aspect ratio. The audio is a Dolby Digital 5.1. There is also the option for English Subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

This film transfer is crisp and clean. There are no digital artifacts found in this transfer. Now what takes this DVD release to a whole other level is the fact that there are bonus features. One thing that makes physical media copies so much better than streaming is the addition of bonus features on disc. Take a look at what is included.

Now over the years I have enjoyed Rob Schneider films. Admittedly his films are not good, a lot of the joke fall flat. So, Daddy Daughter Trip is a typical Rob Schneider film just a whole lot cleaner and family friendly.
