88 Films released the action comedy The Inspector Wears Skirts on Blu-ray. But they didn't stop there right along side that Blu-ray they released another great action comedy. This one is 1991's The Blue Jean Monster!
Joe is a police officer who has a happy life with his pregnant wife. One day he gets a tip that a bank is about to be robbed and rushes to it but is killed. Then the strangest thing happen, Joe becomes a vampire when a black cat jumps on his body and is hit by lightning. Can Joe take revenge on his killers?
The Blue Jean Monster is an action comedy film. The film take full advantage of all the bawdy elements that many film fans love. I am not a huge fan of that kind of humor. But those that find it enjoyable, will no doubt find this films a lot of fun.
This film has been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p in1.85:1 aspect ratio. Unlike some of the release this one only has the 2.0 Cantonese Dual Mono audio. I wish there was the English language option, but there are also English subtitles. So at least there is that!
Now the best part about this transfer is that the film has been remastered in 2k from the original camera negative. This new 2k scan looks and sound stunning! 88 Films did it again with a gorgeous transfer, but that's not all! As with all their release that added some great bonus features.
