Music and Romance go together like peanut butter and jelly. That is why there have been so many musicals that feature romantic storylines all thorough the history of Hollywood. If you are looking to watch one there are so many to choose from. Well, Mill Creek Entertainment just made it a whole lot easier to find some!

Mill Creek Entertainment have released a 6 movie Blu-ray set entitled Music & Romance. This 3-disc Blu-ray set not only features 6 films, but in these films are some of the biggest names in acting. So, let's take a look at the films included in this set.

Our Rating System
**** = Don't Miss It!
*** = Worth A Look.
** = An Ok way to spend an evening.
*= You haven't missed anything.

Disc One:
Shout (1991) Music teacher Jack Cabe (John Travolta) takes a job at the West Texas home for wayward boys in the 1950s. He brings new vision and hope for many of the interned boys. ****

Connie and Carla (2004)
Best friends Connie and Carla had big dreams but find themselves going nowhere. After witnessing a crime, they run from Chicago to L.A. Once there they pose as drag queens on the dinner theater/cabaret circuit. ***

Disc Two:
Captain Corelli’s Mandolin (2001) When a fisherman leaves to fight with the Greek army during World War II, his fiancée falls in love with the local Italian commander. ***

The Man Who Cried (2000)
A young refugee traveling from Russia to America in search of her lost father falls for a gypsy horseman. ***

Disc Three:
The Caveman’s Valentine (2001)  A cave-dwelling man sets out to track down the killer of a homeless boy, and bring him to justice. ***

Madame Sousatzka (1988)
Renowned Russian piano teacher Irina Sousatzka gets a new student - Bengali piano prodigy Manek. They are both immigrants in the UK and bond quickly. When Manek's single mother's business fails, he must make a career decision. ****

The amount of stars found in this set is amazing! We see such great stars as, John Travolta, Nicolas Cage , Penelope Cruz, Christian Bale, Toni Collette, Nia Vardalos, Christina Ricci, Johnny Depp, Cate Blanchette, Samuel L. Jackson, Shirley MacLaine, Heather Graham, Linda Fiorentino, Gwyneth Paltrow, John Hurt, John Turturro, Harry Dean Stanton, Anthony Michael Hall and Greg Ellis.

Mill Creek Entertainment have transferred these films in 1080p in widescreen format. The audio is a DTS-HD Master Audio. Each of the three discs hold 2 films. A Blu-ray disc have plenty of space for 2 films to be on without too much loss of quality. The films look and sound pretty nice.

Now the only bonus found on this set is English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing. There are no interviews, trailers or commentaries. That is a shame, but 6 feature length films on one collection. That is a ton of entertainment for a minimal price.

Now as a classic film fan of course for me the highlights of this collection have to be Shout and Madame Sousatzka. These two films are worth the price along. The others are just straight-out bonuses for me.

So, if you love music and romance films treat yourself to this new Blu-ray set featuring 6 films. You can head over to
