Blood Money (1967-68) Arrow Video Blu-ray Review

Because of the huge success of Sergio Leone’s “Dollars” trilogy spaghetti westerns exploded in popularity. So Filmmakers found a lot of chances to make good money by making westerns for the western starved audiences.

Arrow Video have been releasing some amazing films The Far Country, Ringo Double Feature, The Grand Duel and the film film collection Vengeance Trails. Now it is time for another 4 films set. This time entitled Blood Money.

$10,000 Blood Money (1967) Django has become a bounty hunter who is asked to chase a villain who has kidnapped a young girl. Because he is not offered enough money, he decides to join forces with the bandit but he's double-crossed by the ruthless villain. ***

Vengeance is Mine (1967) Johnny Forest, bounty hunter, attempts to carry out his mother's dying wish that he bring in his outlaw brother, Clint, alive. On the run from Jurago, a former partner he has crossed, Clint accepts Johnny's help, and agrees to surrender ..... for now. ***

Find a place to die (1968) An outcast Confederate soldier redeems himself by defending a woman against bandits willing to kill for her goldmine claim. **

Matalo! (1970) A gang of outlaws flee to Benson City, a ghost town. The city actually has one last occupant, old Mrs. Benson. When a traveller arrives in town, she gives him a gun to face the bandits and get rid of them. ***

All four of these films are presented in 1080p and feature a brand new 2K restorations from the original 35mm camera negatives by Arrow Films. There are audio options for the restored lossless original Italian and English soundtracks. There is also options for either the original Italian and English front and end titles. There are English subtitles for the Italian soundtracks and English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing for the English soundtracks. Finally we get new introductions to each film by critic Fabio Melelli.

The films look and sound amazing in these new 2k restoration. But of course with Arrow Video you expect nothing but the best with there restorations. In addtion to gorgious looking restorations. Arrow Video included an Illustrated collector’s booklet featuring new writing by author Howard Hughes. A fold-out double-sided poster featuring newly commissioned artwork by Gilles Vranckx and reversible sleeves featuring original artwork and a slipcover featuring newly commissioned artwork by Gilles Vranckx. 

But even that is not all that is included in this set. Arrow Video gave each movie it's own Blu-ray disc loaded with bonus features. Take a a look at what is included on each disc.
