Vengeance Trails {Arrow Video Blu-ray Review}

Sergio Leone gave us the 'Dollars' trilogy. These westerns we so popular that it gave other filmmakers the idea to capitalize on this his take on westerns with the Italian flare.

Now the great folks at Arrow Video have collected four "spaghetti" westerns and released them on one amazing deluxe Blu-ray set entitled Vengeance Trails.

Let's take a look at the films that are included in this set.

Massacre Time (1966) A gold prospector and his half brother prove a tough match for the powerful and corrupt leader of a Western town. ***

My Name is Pecos (1966) A Mexican pistolero exacts revenge on the man responsible for the murder of his family, who has taken over his hometown in an effort to recover money that was stolen during a recent robbery. ***

Bandidos (1967) A crippled gunslinger trains an ex-convict to shoot, and together they ride out for revenge on the man who wronged them both. ***

And God Said to Cain (1970)
The President's amnesty frees a wrongfully sentenced gold-mine. He now heads out to hunt the bandits who framed him. ***



All four of these westerns have been restored in 2K from the original 35mm camera negatives. They are presented in 2.35:1 aspect ratio. Also both the Italian and English soundtracks have been restored in lossless mono. Every single one of these films restorations look amazing. They have just the perfect amount of film grain. These films retain there gritty look when still crisp and without any signs of ware to the picture. Each film has it's own dedicated disc with bonus features take a look!
