7 Classic Films To Watch Before you celebrate on New Years Eve

New Years Eve is a time to look back at the year that was and celebrate a new year coming in. A new year means new beginnings. A time to start over. Not make the same mistake we made the last year. Be a better man or woman.

Now most people love to celebrate by watching the ball drop and sing and celebrate. Most like to watch Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest. But for me I love to watch movies and TV shows to celebrate. So today as we are getting ready to say goodbye to 2022 and hello to 2023. We are counting down the Top 7 New Years films to watch before the ball drops this year. 

7.  An Affair to Remember (1957)
Nickie Ferrante (Cary Grant) and Terry McKay (Deborah Kerr) are both engaged, but while on a cruise from Europe to New York, they spark a romance. The make a pact to reunite at the top of the Empire State Building in six months. Now an accident keeps Terry from the reunion, and Nickie fears that she doesn't love him and has married.

6. After The Thin Man (1936) 
Private detectives Nick Charles (William Powell) and his wife, Nora (Myrna Loy) have returned from a vacation. They hope for a quiet New Year when suddenly there is a murder. The main suspect of the murder is Nora's cousin, Selma.

5. An American in Paris (1951)
 Jerry Mulligan (Gene Kelly) is an American ex-GI who now lives in Paris trying to become a painter. He falls for Lise Bouvier (Leslie Caron). But things become complicated when his paintings catch the eye of Milo Roberts, a rich American heiress, who is interested in more than just art.

4. Poseidon Adventure (1972)
 En route from New York City to Greece on New Year's Eve, the cruise ship S.S. Poseidon is capsized by a tidal wave and turned upside down. Now 9 passengers including Rev. Scott (Gene Hackman) search for the bottom and a way to safety.

3. Oceans 11 (1960)
 Danny Ocean (Frank Sinatra) gathers his fellow war compatriots including; Jimmy Foster (Peter Lawford), Sam Harmon (Dean Martin) and Josh Howard (Sammy Davis Jr.) to pull off the ultimate Las Vegas heist. The eleven friends plan to rob five casinos on New Years Eve.
