Woman on the Edge

Thrillers take us on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I have loved them ever since the first time I ever took that ride. Mill Creek Entertainment has released an independent dramatic thriller entitled Woman on the Edge on DVD.

The film follows the life of Susan an investigative journalist who sees her twin sister Cathy jump from a building in a suicide. As she begins talking with TV show host Dr. Mitch. She begins to think
that her suicide may be linked to a number of recent murders that are set up to look like suicides.

Rumer Willis leads the cast here and she has good acting genes. She is the daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. Many may know her from her roles in TV's Empire, as
Joanna Pettet in the film Once upon a time in Hollywood or coming in 5th place on the show The Masked Singer.

She does a decent job leading the cast. She is probably the highlight of the acting in this drama. Jeffery Patterson is okay as Dr. Mitch. The story may be a bit predictable, but probably anyone who has watched films for any length of time could figure out where most films are going. Trey Haley was a good choice in the director's chair for this one. He brings realism to this film.

As for the DVD release the film is transferred in widescreen format in 1.78:1 aspect ratio and Dolby digital 2.0 audio. The film looks and sounds stunning on DVD. As for bonus features, there is just a trailer. I wish the producers would have supplied Mill Creek Entertainment with some behind the scenes material. It would have made this release even better.

In the final analysis of this film, while it is not a big blockbuster thriller, it is not without it's entertainment value. It is good to note there is some mild violence, mild profanity, mild sexual situations and mild drug references and use. So I would say parents should watch this one before the teens and use their discretion.

If you are a fan of mystery, thrillers Woman on the Edge might is a good one for you to check out. For more information on this DVD release visit MillCreekEnt.com or order a copy at Amazon.com today.
