The X-Files: Xmas Special (2015)

Reviewed By Jason S. Lockard

As we are in the final countdown to Christmas, what better way to spend a little of this great time of the year than with the X-Files. A few years ago IDW Publishing released a Holiday themed book entitled The X-Files: X-mas Special.

This book is a two-story book. The first story one involves Mulder being trapped in a shopping mall during a bizarre Christmas quarantine. He has flashbacks to Christmas with his sister Samantha as they try to catch Santa in the act. The second story follows the first agents of the X-Files as they investigating a case that involves a very familiar Christmas monster of mischief Krampus.

The stories are compelling and the art work is masterfully done! The colors pop right off the page. Seeing Skinner let his 'hair' down and throw a holiday party. That is pretty cool! This book is a perfect mix of holiday joy and X-files intrigue! The first story is a nice Christmas themed story and the second story takes the dark route. I loved it!

The book is a very easy read of only 48 pages of X-Files fun. The writing and art work so well together. This book is a great read for the Christmas season. I can not recommend it enough!

So if you loved the X-Files as much as I do this book is a must add to your collection. Head over to www.Amazon.com or your local comic book provider and pick up your copy today.
