Now Warner Brothers has given physical media fans a chance to own the first season of Person of Interest with this new Blu-ray release.
Synopsis: Jim Caviezel (The Thin Red Line), Michael Emerson (Lost) and Taraji P. Henson (Hustle & Flow) team up in this thought-provoking crime action drama from The Dark Knight's Jonathan Nolan and J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions (Fringe, Lost, Alias). Set in New York City, this procedural centers on an ex-CIA agent, presumed dead, who partners with a mysterious billionaire to prevent violent crimes.
The first season of this series sets a wonderful tone for an exciting and entertaining series. A series that sadly would only last 5 seasons. But what a great five seasons it was. The writing is spectacular and the cast puts forth performances you will never forget. All 23 episodes of Person of Interest Season One are spread across 4 Blu-ray discs.
Disc 1: Pilot / Ghosts / Mission Creep / Cura Te Ipsum / Judgment / The Fix
Disc 2: Witness / Foe / Get Carter / Number Crunch / Super / Legacy
Disc 3: Root Cause / Wolf and Cub / Blue Code / Risk / Baby Blue / Identity Crisis
Disc 4: Flesh and Blood / Matsya Nyaya / Many Happy Returns / No Good Deed / Firewall
These episodes have been transferred to Blu-ray in 12080p and are presented in 1.78:1 aspect ratio. The audio options are English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and Dolby Digital 2.0 in French and Spanish. There is also the option for subtitles in English SDH, French and Spanish.
The Blu-ray transfer of these episodes results in a crisp and clean picture. There are no signs of digital artifacts or audio anomalies. Warner Bros. could have left this as just the 23 episodes, but they didn't. They added some special bonuses. Take a look at what is included.
Special Features:
* Original Broadcast Pilot Episodes with an Audio Commentary
* An Extended Pilot episode with an Audio Commentary
* Living in the Age of Surveillance featurette
* Gag Reel
I enjoyed the gag reel, the featurette and the commentary, but in all honesty, I kind of wished there could have been more. It would have made this release that much better. But this is still a nice little release for your home video library.
If you enjoyed the series Person of Interest and never got a chance to own it on physical media, well, now is your chance. The first season comes to home video on Blu-ray. If you would like to order a copy for yourself or a friend, head over to MovieZyng or Amazon today.
