Physical media fans have been collecting movies and TV since the VHS tape. We have seen seasons of television shows released only to stop before the whole run was completed. One such show was Perfect Strangers.When this show's first two seasons were released on DVD, I was one of the first to pick it up. Then I waited for the rest of the season, only to never see another season come to DVD.
Now after so many years of waiting and almost giving up on ever seeing this show on physical media in its entirety Warner Bros Home Entertainment has finally answered our prayers and released the complete series of Perfect Strangers on Blu-ray. Now We are So Happy We do the Dance of Joy!
Synopsis: Larry Appleton, a midwestern American seeking independence in Chicago, whose life is upended when his naive cousin Balki Bartokomous arrives from the Mediterranean island of Mypos to live with him. Their cultural clashes and misadventures form the heart of this buddy sitcom.
Bronson Pinchot and Marc Linn-Baker have such wonderful comedic chemistry together. Their chemistry is right up there with Laurel and Hardy, Martin and Lewis and The Three Stooges. Each of the 150 episodes are hilarious sitcoms that have heart at the base of each episode.
Warner Bros. has transferred all 150 episodes to 17 Blu-ray discs. The episodes have been transferred in 1080p and are presented in the original full-screen format. The audio track is an English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0. There is also English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
There is no information listed on the case that these episodes have been remastered, but I imagine this is the case as these episodes do look crisper than those on the DVDs that I have. But for me it doesn't matter if they are or not as we now have the complete series on Blu-ray. That is a complete win for me.

As for bonus features, there are none. That is a shame. I would have loved to see a little reunion video interview (even if it was on Zoom) between Larry and Balki. All 17 discs are pink and white. I would have liked to see different colors for each season. All these are minor complaints, because we have the complete series of Perfect Strangers on Blu-ray!
Even with the things I have against this Blu-ray set, I can not complain. I am so happy to have this series, I could do the dance of joy! If you loved Perfect Strangers as much as I did growing up.
