Well, they decided not to end it there; they have gone back into the archives for his 1987 coming-of-age story Paradise Bungalows. It is interesting to see a director, whom I never heard of before, getting his films out on Blu-ray.
Synopsis: Mike Underwood, an earnest and unpretentious young man, enters into a high stakes $2,000 bet with Randy the school bully, that he can take "untouchable" Diane to the Paradise Bungalow. After a series of comedic blunders involving a disastrous attempt to create a fake "James Bond" persona. Mike and Diane develop a genuine connection. But when Diane discovers the true nature of their trip, Mike must risk his life in a deadly game of chicken to win her respect and restore his reputation.
Paradise Bungalows tries hard to be a fun romantic coming-of-age comedy, but honestly falls a bit short of being entertaining. The acting is not spectacular and the story, while a proven premise, is not spectacularly executed. If you want to see a Francesco Lucente film I would suggest the previous releases from MVD Visual Badland and Starbright!
The film has been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p and is presented in original full-screen aspect ratio. The audio options are an English 5.1 or 2.0 track. There are also English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.
The film has been remastered and looks good for a 1980s low-budget film. Nothing completely out of this world amazing, but definitely good for a low-budget film to Blu-ray. Now, as for bonus features for this Blu-ray, we get a trailer. Not too much. But the best bonus feature is the addition of a movie soundtrack CD.

This massive CD makes up for the lack of Blu-ray bonus features. I really enjoyed the soundtrack CD. I enjoyed that much more than the movie.
Now I don't want to discourage someone from checking this film out, however. If you love those bad 80s coming-of-age romcoms. Paradise Bungalows might be right up your alley. So give it a try; you never know, you may like it. Head over to MVD Shop or Amazon and order a copy of the Blu-ray today.
