Keeping Up with the Joneses (2016) 4K UltraHD Review

Who hasn't at one point or another dreamed of being Agent 007 James Bond or a member of the IMF (Impossible Missions Force). I know as a kid I like many would play spy, saving the world from the forces of evil. 

No these days I enjoy watching spy movies and TV shows. But throw in a little comedy and if it's done right there is nothing more fun to watch in the world. Well, in 2016 Greg Mottola directed a spy comedy entitled "Keeping Up with the Joneses". Now for the 10 years anniversary this film is receiving a 4K release.

Synopsis: Go deep undercover in this hilarious action-comedy with an all-star cast including Zach Galifianakis, Jon Hamm, Isla Fisher and Gal Gadot. An ordinary suburban couple finds it's not easy keeping up with the Joneses their impossibly attractive and ultrasophisticated new neighbors especially when they discover Mr. and Mrs. Jones are covert spies embroiled in international espionage.

Keeping Up with The Joneses was a film that had so much potential, but just failed to hit the pinnacle that it should have. Yet it is still a fun and exciting film. It is just I think it could have been hilarious, instead of just mildly funny. 

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has transferred Keeping Up With The Joneses in 2160p and presented in 2.40:1 aspect ratio. There are options for audio in English DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1, English Descriptive track in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. Then there is Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks in French and Spanish. Finally there are subtitles are in English, French and Spanish.

The picture quality is nice, but not anything to right home about. This 4k release not only has a 4K disc, but also a Blu-ray disc as well. Take a look at what is included on these discs.

Now in addition to all these bonus features, included on this 4K release is a digital copy of this film. I love this bonus. To have a digital copy of the film that you can have with you anywhere you have an internet connection. Tremendous. I am still physical media first, but having a bonus digital is too cool.
