50 First Dates (2004) 4K Ultra HD Review | Adam Sandler & Drew Barrymore's Romantic Comedy Looks Better Than Ever

Near the end of the height of Adam Sandler's film career, Sandler starred alongside Drew Barrymore for a sweet romantic comedy entitled "50 First Dates." It is hard to believe that this film is now 22 years old. Has it been that long?

For this epic 22nd anniversary, Sony Home Entertainment is giving 50 First Dates a deluxe 4K UltraHD release. Now, Adam Sandler fans can enjoy this romantic comedy in 4k for years to come.

Synopsis: Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore star together for the first time since The Wedding Singer in one of the funniest romantic comedies in years. Henry (Sandler) lives an enviable life in a Hawaiian paradise, spending every night with a beautiful tourist in search of an island fling. It's a sweet life with no strings attached...until he meets Lucy (Barrymore). He and Lucy hit it off from the get-go, but the next day she acts like she doesn't know him. Has his karma come around to kick him in the butt or what? Actually, Lucy has short-term memory loss so every night all memory of her day is erased. But a man in love will go to any lengths to win over the girl of his dreams, and if that means having to find imaginative ways of doing it over again every day, then Henry's up for the challenge. Rob Schneider (Big Daddy) and Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) co-star in 50 First Dates, which will win you over every time you watch it!

You might be surprised to see how good Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are together. This film sees many familiar faces, including Rob Snieder in one of the craziest characters I've ever seen. There is also Sean Astin, Dan Aykroyd, Maya Rudolph and Kevin James.

While there is the crazy antics you come to know and love from an Adam Sandler film. This story has a ton of heart. And may have you tearing up a time or two. This one really is one you should experience.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has transferred Click to 4K in 2160p and is presented in 2.40:1 aspect ratio. There are options for audio tracks in English Dolby Atmos, English Dolby TrueHD 7.1 and English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. There is also the option for subtitles in English, English SDH and Spanish.

50 First Dates in UltraHD is a great experience. The picture is sharp as a tack and the colors are bright and vibrant and the flesh tones are correct. In addition to a wonderful-looking transfer, Sony added some cool bonus features to this disc. Take a look at what is included.
