Sony Pictures Home Enertainment are releasing the baseball movie based on a true story, Moneyball on 4k Ultra HD for it's 15th anniversary. Now you watch the epic true story in UltraHD not just this year but every year to come.
Synopsis: Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane (Brad Pitt) challenges the system and defies conventional wisdom when his is forced to rebuild his small-market team on a limited budget. Despite opposition from the old guard, the media, fans and their own field manager (Philip Seymour Hoffman), Beane - with the help of a young, number-crunching, Yale-educated economist (Jonah Hill) - develops a roster of misfits and along the way, forever changes the way the game is played.
Moneyball featured a well written script, even though it does take liberties with the facts. The film also features wonderful performances by Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Now wonder this film was nominated for six Academy Awards®, including Best Picture.
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has transferred Moneyball to 4K in 2160p and presented in 1.85:1 aspect ratio. The audio track are English, French and Spanish DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. There is also subtitles in English, French and Spanish.
Moneyball in 4K is sharp as a tack, with no signs of softness. The color of the A's uniforms really pops and the baseball diamond is to clean that you can almost smell the cut grass.
