Synopsis: Grace, a writer and young mother, is slowly slipping into madness. Locked away in an old house in and around Montana, we see her acting increasingly agitated and erratic, leaving her companion, Jackson, increasingly worried and helpless.
Arthouse films are not for everyone. Infact it is a very niche audience. Die My Love wants to meld genres. It is labels as a physcological thriller with elements of drama and dark humor. Sometimes when you try to do too much the while thing falls apart and that's what kind of happened here. I really enjoy Jennifer Lawerence and wanted to like this film, but alas I didn't.
Die My Love has been transferred to Blu-Ray in 1080p and presented in 1.37:1 aspect ratio. The audio track is an English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and a 2.0. There is also options for English Audio Description and English subtitles. French DTS 5.1, French DTS 2.0, French Audio Description. And additional Subtitles in French and Spanish.
The Blu-ray transfer is good. There is no signs of digital artifacts or audio anomalies. But there is no bonus features on this disc. That is a huge disappointment. There is not an interview, audio commentary or even a trailer.
Understandably this film is not going to be for everyone. But for those that enjoy this type of film it will be a nice watch. But in all honesty the Blu-ray is a bit lackluster with no bonus features.
