Creepshow 2 (1987) – Arrow Video 4K UHD Review: Classic Horror Anthology Gets a Stunning Upgrade

When you think of classic horror few names carry as much weight that of George A. Romero and Stephen King. Well, in 1982 these two horror icons came together to bring the world Creepshow. This film has more than just become a cult classic. It is just a plain classic.

5 years later the duo would join forces once again and bring the world a second dose of terror with Creepshow 2. Now Arrow Video has given this sequel film a chance to live forever in UltraHD with the new 4k release.

Synopsis: In 'Old Chief Wood'nhead', a group of young hoodlums face retribution from an unlikely source after looting a local hardware store. Meanwhile, 'The Raft' sees a group of horny teens wishing they'd read the warning signs first before taking a dip in a remote lake. Finally, an uptight businesswoman finds herself with some unwanted company following a hit-and-run incident in 'The Hitch-hiker'.

One thing that is so great about this sequel is they didn't try to reinvent the wheel. Creepshow 2 has the same EC Comics flare that the original had, and everyone loved. But this time Romero decided to exit the director's chair and give the reigns to his long-time collaborator Michael Gornick.

Okay so while it is very rare that a sequel holds up to the original film. And that is the case with Creepshow 2. It still is an entertaining film that is perfect for Halloween or any day you want a little spooky horror fun in your life.

Arrow Video has restored Creepshow 2 in 4k
