WWE has many PLEs during the year and some are really big such as Survivor Series, Royal Rumble and Summer Slam, but there is no event that is bigger than WrestleMania. That is why this event is called "The Showcase of the Immortals" and "The Grandest Stage of Them All!"
This years WrestleMania is just a couple weeks away. That is so hard to believe. But because of this WWE and Peacock Network are releasing a brand new documentary celebrating WrestleMania and even more so the most memorable evolution of this even that occurred in 1993 at WrestleMania IX. That WrestleMania took place at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.
Now 32 years later WWE returns to Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41! WrestleMania is now a weekend event featuring Hall of Fame ceremonies, NXT Stand and Deliver PLE and not 1 but 2 nights of WWE WrestleMania action.
Now just a week before the biggest WWE weekend of the year, Friday April 11th Peacock will release this new documentary entitled WrestleMania IX: Becoming a Spectacle.
This documentary goes deep behind the scenes of “the World’s Largest Toga Party.” The event promised the WWE Universe a show unlike any they’d ever seen before. It delivered. WrestleMania IX was a true spectacle that set a new path forward for WWE and changed the company forever.
In addition to behind-the-scenes footage from the event itself, WrestleMania IX: Becoming a Spectacle features interviews from WWE Hall of Famers and Superstars including Bret “The Hitman” Hart, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, Papa Shango, Hulk Hogan, Jimmy Hart, Kofi Kingston, Lex Luger, Mike Rotunda aka “IRS”, Natalya, Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner, Rikishi, Shawn Michaels, Ted DiBiase, The Undertaker and more. The documentary also features interviews with WWE and Caesar’s Palace executives, directors, broadcasters, and archivists. When we say this doc pulls the curtain back on the whole production, we mean it.
