Superhero team-ups are simply amazing. That is way comics, TV series and movies of The Avengers, Justice League, Fantastic 4 are so popular.
Through the years there have been many versions of the Japanese superhero Ultraman. Well, it begged the question what would happen if we saw Ultramen unite to fight evil?.... Well, wonder no more. Tsuburaya Productions produced an online mini-series Ultra Galaxy Fight. This online series was based on the low-budget series Ultra Fight.
Mill Creek Entertainment has been releasing the adventures of the out of this world Japanese Superhero Ultraman on Blu-ray. Fans wait with bated breath for the next release.
Well, as 2025 has now arrived it's time for the first Ultraman of the new year. And the first release of the new year needs to be epic, and that it is. Mill Creek Entertainment has released Ultraman: Ultra Galaxy Fight. An epic 3-disc Blu-ray set.
Disc 1:
Ultra Galaxy Fight: New Generation Heroes: A demon of darkness who goes by the name, Ultra Dark-Killer has the power to create evil copies of Ultra warriors. Ultraman Zero and Ultrawoman Grigio fell into the hand of this archenemy! To deal with the crisis, Ultraman Taro calls in the “New Generation Heroes”, Ultraman Ginga, Ultraman Victory, Ultraman X, Ultraman Orb, Ultraman Geed, Ultraman Rosso, Ultraman Blu and also Ultraman Ribut from the Galaxy Rescue Force as a cover. The episodes have been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p and are presented in 1.78:1 aspect ratio. There are two audio options included in this release there is the original Japanese audio track is a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 and there is an English dub track as well. There are also English subtitles included.
While these series adventures may not be huge budget productions, the production value of these adventures are amazing. The action is great, the stories are intriguing, and it is so cool to see the Ultras interact with one another. These Blu-ray transfers are crisp and clean there is no digital artifacts, and the colors are so vibrant. Simply amazing!
This Blu-ray set includes a booklet insert with information about the Ultra Galaxy Fight series. There is also a free playable card from the Ultraman Card Game. Probably the best bonus for me in this set, is the inclusion of the English dub of the series. I grew up on those band English dubs of Japanese films, so these are always a welcomed feature.
