Someone Like You (2024) DVD Review

Romantic films are very popular especially with the female film fans. When you are looking for a good story for a romantic film, you look to a great writer. And one of the best is American Christian Novelist and New York Tines #1 bestselling author Karen Kingsbury.

One of Kingsbury's most popular book series about The Baxter Family was made into a TV Series in 2024. But also, in 2024 her novel Someone Like You was made into a movie. now Mill Creek Entertainment have given this film a physical media release on DVD.

Synopsis: Shocking news hits when young architect Dawson loses his best friend London. In his heartbreak, Dawson is compelled to launch an impossible search for London’s secret twin sister who was separated from her when they were still embryos. But along the way, Dawson never planned to fall in love.

Karen Kingsbury co-wrote the screenplay and her production company produced this film. This story is powerful, intense, magical and filled with heart. Karen Kingsbury put together a cast of actors and actresses that really tell this story so well. This was my first time watching a Karen Kingsbury adapted film, and I have to say it makes me want to explore more.

Mill Creek Entertainment have transferred Someone Like You to DVD in widescreen format and presented in 2.35:1 aspect ratio. The audio is a Dolby Digital 2.0. There is also the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

The film transfer to DVD is a good looking one. The picture is crisp and clean with no signs of damage. There are no digital artifacts, and the audio is clean with no audio anomalies. Mill Creek Entertainment did a great job with this transfer. But in a addition to the film there is some cool bonus features included on this DVD. Take a look at what is included.

* Cast Auditions
* The Heart of Someone Like You featurette
* Fallin' For Sarah and Jake featurette
* Deleted Scenes
* Audio Commentary by Someone Like You Author Karen Kingsbury

I love the addition of the audio commentary by Karen Kingsbury, after all who better to tell us about this film that the one who wrote the story. Then the bonus making of featurettes, deleted scenes and the cast auditions are really cool. Seeing these actors in the beginning before they became these characters, that is a very cool bonus.

Now this film genre is not going to be for everyone! The romantic genre with a little sprinkle of the Christian aspect. This may turn off some viewers, but for those that love a good love story, Someone Like You is really going to be up their ally.

If you love romantic dramas the new DVD release of Someone Like You is a release you will want to add to your collection. Head over to Deep Discount and order your copy today, you won't be disappointed.
