Saturday Night's Main Event Returns

The new deal WWE struck with NBC Universal brought the opportunity for “live primetime special on NBC” for later this year. For months people have speculated what these special might be. Well, now we wonder no more.

WWE confirmed speculations on Sept. 17, 2024. They officially announced that “the iconic” Saturday Nights Main Event is coming returning. The first edition will come our way Dec. 14 from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, New York — the site of the first-ever Saturday Nights Main Event in May of 1985.

Now the interesting thing unlike that original version, which aired after the local news in place of a Saturday Night Live. This new version will air in primetime at 8 p.m. Eastern. Also new... the show will be simulcast on Peacock.

The original voices of Saturday Nights Main Event were Vince McMahon and Jesse "The Body" Ventura. Well, Vince McMahon will never be back in WWE, but Jesse Ventura has signed a deal with WWE and is more than likely to return to this new version of Main Event!

So, we will be able to enjoy 4 special each year. Are you excited about this new version of Saturday Night's main Event. Let us know in the comments and as always thanks for visiting the Classic Cinema+ Wrestling News Hub!
