CM Punk appeared on Smackdown as it was in his hometown of Chicago Ill. He reunited with Paul Heyman for a brief second before being confronted by The Bloodline lead by Solo Sikoa.
Later in the show as Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa confronted Grayson Waller the arena doors started to raise and we saw a laid out bloody body of CM Punk as the doors raised completely we saw Drew McIntyre standing over him. Drew would pick CM Punk and carry him into the arena where he just tossed him body down.
Obviously Drew did not quit. Though in my humble opinion it would have been better to see Drew go away for a while and reemerge with a renewed vigor. But this was shocking to say the least.
