Tom Hanks first gained attention in the short lived sitcom Bosom Buddies. He showed in that show that he had the "It Factor". It wasn't long till he was in full Hollywood Movie mode. Now after all these years and becoming one of the highest grossing actors in North America, he still is box office even in his 60s.
Since entering his older years Tom Hanks has found himself doing a lot of biopics, such as Mr. Rogers and even in the new Elvis film playing Tom Parker.
So today on Classic Cinema Plus we are counting down our favorite Tom Hanks performances in film.
7. Saving Mr. Banks (2013) Walt Disney (Hanks) runs into troubles with author P.L.Travers when he seeks to adapt her book Mary Poppins to the big screen.

3. Big (1988) A teenage boy wants to be big, makes a wish. He gets his wish when he wakes up the next morning to find himself in the body of an adult.
2. Forest Gump (1994) Historical events are recalled through the perspective of an Alabama man with an IQ of 75.
1. The Green Mile (1999) The lives of guards on Death Row are affected by one of the prisoners. John Coffey, a black man accused of child murder and rape. But the interesting thing is John has an amazing gift.
