Crossovers! I love them. In 2016 IDW Publishing and DC has done something I'm surprised nobody thought of before with Spectrum Wars, that's bringing the Green Lantern Corps and the crew of the Starship Enterprise together for a six issue event. Now those six issues are collected in one big book.
Spectrum Wars starts off with Ganthet, the last surviving Guardian of Oa, is informed that the entire Green Lantern Corps has fallen to Nekron. Ganthet knows preserving all life is essential, and then he and six power rings vanish. On the Starship Enterprise the rings find their new possessors crew members of the Enterprise and thus starts this amazing tale. If you want to know what happens you'll have to read the book.
This book delivers an action-packed story with awesome artwork that jumps right off the page. The Spectrum War is a colorful adventure that should satisfy Trekkies and Lantern fans alike. It is a must own.
The only thing that I found a little of a disappointing was it wasn't the cast of Star Trek the original series in this book, it's the cast from the new film series. But that doesn't mean that this book isn't a fun read. It is awesome to say the least.
