This month we conclude our look back at arguably the greatest sci-fi film series of all time, Star Wars. Episode VI Return of the Jedi for many is a perfect conclusion, for other not so much! Either way it's an enjoyable film featuring star of the month Han Solo himself Harrison Ford.

Harrison Ford was born  July 13, 1942 in Chicago to acting parents  Christopher and Dorothy Ford. He was the older of two sons. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, and achieved its second-highest rank, Life Scout. In 1960, Ford graduated from Maine East High School in Illinois from there he attended Ripon College in Wisconsin. He took a drama class in the final quarter of his senior year to get over his shyness. It was then he discovered his love for acting.

Ford would spend time in summer stock in Wisconsin and than traveled to Los Angeles, California to apply for a job in radio voice overs. He did not get it, but stayed in California and eventually signed a $150 a week contract with Columbia Pictures' New Talent program, playing bit roles in films. After some success he moved to Universal Studies and would play minor roles in TV shows such as Gunsmoke, Ironside, The Virginian, Kun Fu and many more. Than in 1973 director George Lucas cast Ford in his film American Graffiti. Little did Harrison know that this would open a door for one of his most iconic roles of his career the Millennium Falcon captian Han Solo.

In return of the Jedi Luke Skywalker initiates a plan to rescue Han Solo; who as we saw in the pervious film was frozen in carbonite by the crime lord Jabba the Hutt. Lando, Leia, Chewbacca Luke and the droid go into rescue mode, but after a tense standoff with Luke and Jabba look soon finds himself in a battle for his life against the horrific creature the Rancor. But this is just the opening minutes of this epic film. Luke must face his father Darth Vader one final time as the others do battle with Emporer's solders on Endor.

After Star Wars Harrison's career just got busier and busier. Playing another iconic character of Indiana Jones. Also the iconic character of Dr. Richard Kimble in the movie adaption of this classic TV show. Harrison Ford has brought so many character to life on film. This award winning actors has done it all and still continues to.
