DVD Review: Legends of Rock and Roll

The music industry was dominated by clean-cut, suit-clad singers such as; Bing Crosby, Rudy Vallee, Al Jolson, Nelson Eddy, Frank Sinatra and many more. But in the 50s it would all change when a young man burst on the scene named Elvis Presley, then in the 1960s a group from England will shake the world of music once again.

The good folks at Legend Films released a 2 Disc DVD set of Elvis and The Beatles who changed the face of music forever. Now we can relive the music of these Legends of Rock and Roll. Let's take a look at what is included in this collection.

Disc 1: Elvis: Thru The Years (2007) This documentary presents the life of Elvis Presley through rare film footage, press conferences, behind-the-scenes feature, movie trailers, news clips, and much more. ****

Disc 2: The Beatles Explosion (2007) This documentary explores the early days of The Beatles with rare interviews, newsreels, press conferences and TV appearances and so much more. ****

These documentaries are a really cool snapshot into the careers of these men and their music. The documentaries are filled with rare footage of The Beatles and Elvis. This is a very impressive DVD Set. A great addition to any Rock & Roll fans collection.
