Run {DVD Review}

Reviewed By Jason Lockard

Human trafficking is a real thing and it is going on whether we want to believe it or not! A couple of years ago Bridgestone Entertainment produced a film entitled "Run", that dealt with the issue of human trafficking in a thrilling and dramatic way. trying to shine a lot of this horrible thing!

Now the good folks at Mill Creek Entertainment released an amazing faith based film Wild Faith on DVD read our review here. Now they are giving "RUN" it's turn to shine on DVD and digital. Let's take a deeper look into this release.

The film follows Levi (Josiah Warren), a young businessman who marries the love of his life, Natalie Winters (Taylor Murphy), a passionate journalist who reports on human trafficking and fights to expose it. On their wedding night Natalie is kidnapped to be sold into slavery by the very men she's investigating. When authorities prove to be of little help, Levi goes on the hunt for his wife, chasing clues wherever he can find them, leading him to Jeff Conners (Stephen Baldwin) a merciless crime lord. Will Levi be able to find his wife before she is transported out of the country to be sold? Only with the help of God can Levi and Natalie find the strength and faith to fight the evil that has shattered their lives.

Faith based films sometimes can be overtly preachy! But Run gets the point across without taking it to extremes. The script was well crafted by Sun Hui East and the direction of star Josiah David Warren was good. You could really tell Josiah and Taylor put everything they have into their roles. I loved Stephen Baldwin's take as the crime lord. This film takes you on a roller coaster ride to the satisfying conclusion!

As for this film's transfer to DVD. The film is presented in widescreen format 2.40:1 aspect ratio and in 5.1 Surround Sound. It looks and sounds crystal clear. On this DVD there is English subtitles for the hearing impaired, but that it all. There is no DVD disc bonus features at all. That is the only downside I see in this DVD release!

So if you love faith based movies. If your a fan of Stephen Baldwin! This is a great addition to anyone's collection. You can head over to MillCreekent.com or Amazon.com and pick up your copy today!
