They could get caught in the players and made a mess. But there is something special about those old tapes to older film fans.
Mill Creek Entertainment has been releasing some retro VHS style Blu-rays. We have been taking a look at some of these awesome releases here! Now it's time for the final review release for this round.
In the 80s Chuck Norris was one of the biggest action stars. His martial arts films kept the world entertained. But there is one film that is not quite the typical Chuck Norris film, but it is however a really entertaining film.That film is Silent Rage.
The film follows Sheriff Daniel Stevens (Norris) who after responding to a homicide arrests the killer, but he breaks free causing him and his deputy Charlie to have to open fire killing the man. His body was donated to science.
So three doctors experiment using a revolutionary drug that not
only brings the criminal back to life but also gives him super-human
powers. Now the resurrected man is even more dangerous than ever and only Sheriff Stevens has the skills and the courage to take him down.While Chuck Norris uses his typical martial arts to fight the bad guys this is not a regular Chuck Norris film. This is sci-fi/horror personified. The story is well written and the film is action packed. It is good to note this film does have a good amount of profanity and some nudity. So this film is not for the young ones.
On this blu-ray the film is presented in 1.85:1 widescreen format and DTS-HD Master Audio. There is some slight film grain in the picture but nothing that should take away from the enjoyment of the film. In my opinion it is still a pretty impressive transfer. There is no bonus features, but with renting VHS tapes you remember getting the movie! This is what makes this like going to the video store, just with better picture quality!
Now the cool retro VHS looking slip cover is the star here. Featuring that weathered look and stickers that say 'Action/Thriller' and 'Please be Kind & Rewind'. This is nostalgia!
So if you love Chuck Norris this is a film is not the prototypical Norris film, but it needs to be part of your collection, especially with this retro packaging! This Retro VHS version Blu-ray can be purchased by heading over to Amazon today.
