Dean Koontz' Intensity {Movie Review}

Reviewed by Jason Lockard

In 1997 I was into the mini-series events big time! I loved the epic nature of these entertainment extravaganzas and when I saw the promos for Dean Koontz Intensity I was all in for that one! Boy was I not disappointed!

The mini-series follows Chyna Shepherd is a twenty-six-year-old psychology student and survivor of a troubled past. While visiting friend Laura Templeton's house for Thanksgiving, a serial killer named Edgler Foreman Vess breaks into the house, killing Laura and her parents. Chyna survives hiding from the killer, but instead of being happy about that she decides to follow him. She learns that he has a young girl named Ariel held captive in his fortress of a home! Chyna not wanting to let this go on decides to rescue the girl. So Chyna travels deep into lair of the killer and into a real life nightmare.

John C McGinley is chillingly as Edgler, Molly Parker is a sympathetic character as Chyna and Tori Paul bring so much emotion with no line and a blank expression! This mini-series can seem slow at times. But that is very infrequent and should not take away from the enjoyment of this mini-series!

I love watching this mini-series! It is just as it says in the title it is pure Intensity! The quality of this mini-series is not spectacular. We expect HD quality content and in older TV shows and films were just not going to get that, but it is good quality.

This mini-series is a roller coaster ride from beginning to end and worth checking out it you can! It is available on DVD on Amazon.com.
