Ray Kellogg Double Feature (1959) {DVD Review}

Ray Kellogg probably best known for directing 1968’s The Green Berets. But less than 10 years before in 1959 Ray directed two sci-fi films that hold a special place in b-movie fans hearts. Now thanks to Legend films we b-movie fanatics can enjoy a whole new experience with this new DVD release.

The Killer Shrews (1959): On an isolated island, a small group of people are terrorized by giant voracious shrews in the midst of a hurricane. ***

Giant Gila Monster (1959): A giant lizard terrorizes a rural Texas community with a heroic teenager attempting to destroy the creature. **

This 2 disk set includes the newly restored black and white version and the beautifully colorized version, but that’s not all! There is also the bonus features; which include trailers, a short film Squeak the squirrel and more information about gila monsters and shrews. This release is jammed packed with good stuff.

If your a fan of b-movie Sci-fi cinema as much as I am, this is one release you have to own! So by all means head over to Amazon and get a copy.
