When you hear the name Lucy only one person comes to mind. The wacky red-head that always found herself in the craziest situations. Whether it was I love Lucy, The Lucy Show, Here’s Lucy, movies or guest appearances, you knew you were in for a good laugh when it came to Lucy! Now Legend Films have collected some of the most rare hard to find moments and put them in one collection. Let’s take a look at what is included.
The main program includes four extremely rare and very hilarious moments. The first and best is Bob Hope Program with the cast of I love Lucy as guest stars. In this program Bob dreams what it would be like if he had married Lucy. So Bob plays Ricky and Desi played Fred. The second is I Love Lucy Westinghouse Special promotional film where Desi is taking the Westinghouse rep on a tour of Desilu Studios and Lucy is trying to find ways to make an order from the Westinghouse catalogue. The final two are just clips but they are pretty good. Lucy makes a guest appearance "I’ve Got a Secret" and a comedy sketch with Lucy and future co-star Gale Gordon from the Victor Borge Show. You can watch these in the restored black and white or colorized versions.
Than there is the bonus features; trailers of Lucy films, Lucy and Desi on What’s my line? Lucy and Desi on I’ve got a Secret and more. I personally found the quality of these lost programs to be really good and the colorization was brilliant and eye popping. This is a good collection of rare Lucy goodness that any Lucy fan can’t be without.
