South Park The Complete 27th and 28th Seasons

In 1997, Trey Parker and Matt Stone created a cartoon series for Comedy Central entitled South Park. But this cartoon was not for children. It became known for its dark humor, adult language, and controversial storylines.

South Park has become the longest-running animated series for Comedy Central and Paramount, with the upcoming season bringing this show to 30 seasons. It also ranks this show as the second longest-running show in all of television 2nd only to The Simpsons at 37 seasons.

Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment has released the latest two seasons on a 2-disc DVD set. Now South Park fans can enjoy the antics of the gang in South Park whenever you feel like it, with the 27th and 28th seasons.

Synopsis: Join Stan, Kyle, Cartman and Kenny, plus the surprise return of Jesus, our saviour, as everyone prepares for Satan and the President to welcome their love child, the Antichrist. If that's not enough, they must also contend with the end of the woke culture, combat the scourge of AI slop, learn disturbing lessons about crypto and face the threat of South Park's imminent cancellation. For them, it's all part of growing up in South Park.

South Park is not a cartoon for everyone. In fact it is a cartoon for a very niche audience. There is a lot of things that could be deemed offensive to a lot of different people. So If you have watched South Park and loved it than you know whaty you are in for here.

Disc One (Season 27): Sermon on the 'Mount / Got A Nut / Sickofancy / Wok is Dead / Conflict of Interest

Disc Two (Season 28): Twistedf Christian / The Woman in the Hat / Sora not Sorry / Turkey Trot / The Crap Out

Each season has 10 episodes. Very short seasons. These episodes have been transferred to DVD in widescreen format. The audio track is English Dolby Digital 5.1. There are also English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

The DVD transfer of these episodes is crisp and clean. There are no signs of digital artifacts or audio anomalies. But for this two-disc DVD set there are just the 10 episodes. There are no bonus features on this set. No interviews, audio commentaries, nothing. That is a real disappointment. Plus, there should have been the option for a Blu-ray set, not just the DVD.

South Park The Complete 27th and 28th seasons DVD set is a must-own for South Park fans. But for the casual animation fans, this may not be one to spend money on. If you would like to add this release to your home video library, head over to Amazon and order your copy today.
