Jackass: Best and Last (Blu-ray Review)

Johnny Knoxville became famous not for writing a song, performing on Broadway, or making a movie. His claim to fame was the TV series jackass that featured outrageous, dangerous and painful stunts. The show lasted a short three seasons.

In 2026, Johnny Knoxville and the crew return for one final crazy ride together with the feature film "Jackass: Best and Last". Now Paramount Home Entertainment has released this film on Blu-ray.

Synopsis:Johnny Knoxville and the gang return for one final fling at the big screen. Featuring all-new stunts and stupidity along with the greatest hits and biggest laughs from the past, this is a joyously raucous celebration of all the mischievous camaraderie that you’ve come to love and expect from these idiots over the past 25 years. So, grab your dumb little buddies, raise your glasses, and come experience the cinematic event that promises to be the last time you’ll ever laugh this hard in a theatre.

There is no denying the popularity of jackass. There is something about people doing stupid things that we just have to watch. I guess it is the morbid curiosity of having to stop and look at a car crash.

Now, I can't say I enjoyed this film; of course, I never watched the series, so probably that's why this one didn't impress me. But I know there are huge fans of the series, so those same fans will love this film, no doubt.

The film has been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p and is presented in widescreen format. The audio tracks are English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, French and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. There is also subtitles in English, French and Spanish. Finally, there is an English descriptive track.

The Blu-ray transfer is crisp and clean. There are no signs of digital artifacts or audio anomalies. This Blu-ray also includes special features of deleted scenes and a montage.

Jackass is not highbrow entertainment... not by a long shot. But for people who do enjoy this kind of entertainment, this new Blu-ray will be on their list to add this Blu-ray to their home video library.

If you love the crazy antics of the jackass crew and want to see their swan song together. Head over to Amazon and order your copy of the Blu-ray Jackass: Best and Last today!
