Synopsis: Screen legend Gregory Peck plays the valiant Napoleonic era naval hero in this swashbuckling saga adapted for the screen by Hornblower's creator C.S. Forester. True to the famed novels, Hornblower outthinks his rivals in order to out fight them. He's unflinching under fire, modest in victory & more than a little at sea romantically with Lady Barbara Wellsley (Virginia Mayo).

Raoul Walsh directs an exciting adventure film. Gregory Peck and Virginia Mayo bring wonderful performances to this film. Plus the film's score really enhances this film, making it something to behold. This is definitely a film everyone should experience at least once.

Warner Archive has transferred this film to Blu-ray in 1080p and is presented in 1.37 aspect ratio. The audio track is an English DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0. There is also the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

* Classic WB Short My Country 'Tis of Thee
* Lux Radio Theater broadcast with Peck and Mayo

The addition of the classic Bugs Bunny film and short film is a welcome bonus feature. But I love when Warner Archive adds the classic radio theater broadcasts. It would be a shame if these radio dramas were just cast aside and lost. But Warner Archive is rescuing them and making them as bonus features on these Blu-rays and I love that.
