11 Days, 11 Nights 2 4K Review: The Definitive Ultra HD Upgrade

The 1980s saw a decline in the popularity of exploitation cinema in Italy. The once thriving industry was now treading water. Producer and Director Joe D'Amato was not ready to throw in the towel just yet. So, in 1987 he made the film Eleven Days, Eleven Nights. Then 4 years later he would produce the sequel Eleven Days, Eleven Nights 2.

88 Films have been impressing me with the quality of their releases. Some of the best quality releases of the year belong to 88 Films. Well, it's time for their latest release and it is a 4k UltraHD version of Joe D'Amato's Eleven Days, Eleven Nights 2.

Synopsis: A young woman named Sarah (Kristine Rose) has to act as an executor for the will of her ex-lover Lionel Durrington (James Jackson). To ensure that the heir is honourable and worthy she must work her way through all them to decide who the fortune must go to. But as she meets and sleeps with each one, she uncovers dark family secrets.

There is more to this film than just the exploitation! Although that is a big part of this film. The film boasts of an interesting storyline, great cinematography and a nice soundtrack! There are also wonderful performances by
Kristine Rose, Laura Gemser, and Ruth Collins.

88 Films have transferred this film to 4K UltraHD and Blu-ray in 2160p and 1080p respectively and is presented in the original 1.66:1 aspect ratio. There are two audio tracks to choose from. There is the English 2.0 LPCM Stereo and the Italian 2.0 LPCM Mono with newly translated English subtitles.

Now this isn't just any transfer now. 88 Films always gets the best possible print for their releases. And for this release they got a brand new 4K remaster from the Original Negatives. The film looks and sounds stunning, and fans of this genre are going to be thrilled with the quality of this release. In addition to a wonderful 4k restoration 88 Films added some great bonus features.
