Curb Your Enthusiasm debuted on October 17, 1999, and ran for a fun and hilarious 12 seasons. 'Curb' aired for eight consecutive seasons from 1999 to 2011. Then after a break the show resumed with a ninth season in 2017. The tenth and eleventh seasons aired in 2020 and 2021. The series was renewed for a twelfth and final season and premiered on February 4, 2024, and the series finale aired on April 7, 2024.
Earlier this year (2025) Warner Brothers released this series on DVD! Now if you didn't already buy the DVD set you have the opportunity to have the complete series on Blu-ray thanks to Warner Brothers.
Synopsis: This iconic Emmy - and Golden Globe -winning semi-improvised comedy series stars creator Larry David as an over-the-top, self-absorbed version of himself who finds endless ways to make a mess of his pretty, pretty good life. Offering a tongue-in-cheek depiction of the writer/producer/comedian's fictionalized world and friends, Curb Your Enthusiasm follows Larry's awkward everyday encounters, social missteps and knack for turning mundane situations into chaotic disasters, often leading to hilariously uncomfortable situations.
Larry David played the self-centered and self-absorbed ego mantic. The series revolves around his selfish desires. In one of the funnier moments of the series. Larry's wife calls him from a plane to say goodbye as there is a possibility the plane could crash. Well, Larry is too preoccupied with looking for the TiVo remote.
Curb Your Enthusiasm was a critical acclaim sitcom. During its run it was nominated for 55 Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series for eleven of its twelve seasons. In 2002 it won the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy.
Just as a point to be aware of for those who have never seen this series. This is not Seinfeld. This was produced for HBO, so this series is for mature audiences. It is filled with sexual content and profanity. So, viewer beware.
All 120 episodes have been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p and are presented in 1.78:1 aspect ratio. The audio tracks available are an English Dolby Digital 2.0 and an English Dolby Digital 5.1.
These episodes are crisp and clean. There are no signs of compression or digital artifacts. The audio is clear and free of any audio anomalies. All 120 episodes are spread across 24 discs. So, these discs are not overloaded with episodes, giving you the best quality possible.
