The Great American Bash was the brainchild of the legendary World Champion Dusty Rhodes. NWA/WCW ran many Great American Bash events until WCW's closure and purchase by WWE. Then WWE would continue the tradition, until NXT started running the event.
NXT's Great American Bash PLE will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, live from Center Stage Theater in Atlanta at 3PM. This will be the lead in to the Epic Saturday Night's Main Event.
