Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins is also the owner of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). His love for pro wrestling caused him to purchase the fledgling organization and through his passion and the passion of the great wrestlers NWA rose from the ashes to become a popular wrestling company once again.
NWA Powerrr their weekly program was on Youtube. Not long after Corgan announced in 2023 that NWA had “two TV deals with a top 20 network”. It wasn't long after that NWA Powerrr and a Corgan-centric reality series landing on The CW... app.
It wasn't long after their debut that NWA was removed from the CW App and WWE NXT was added. This left Corgan's NWA without a network. So NWA Power was regulated to stream on X FKA Twitter.
Well June 10, 2025 we are learning that the NWA has a new home. This home will be the streaming platform The Roku Channel. Now according to 'Deadline' the exclusive report states that, “The deal will see matches airing on The Roku Channel in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, starting on July 29.”
Does this mean that full episodes of Powerrr will not be streaming on The Roku Channel? Well, Billy Corgan himself said, “I look forward to sharing new episodes of ‘NWA Powerrr’ with the incredible audience that Roku brings.” So yes episodes of Powerrr will air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. The interesting thing is that mean NWA will compete with WWE NXT on The CW. But with Roku Channel being on demand, I don't think NWA is any competition to WWE/NXT!
