Ahead of WrestleMania Saturday WWE announced they have acquired the legendary promotion Lucha Libre AAA. This announcement brought much media buzz. Fans began to think of all the epic matches that could take place.
In addition to the purchase of AAA WWE announced an epic crossover event entitled NXT x AAA: Worlds Collide. This event will be taking place on June 7 at the KIA Forum in Los Angeles, CA.
WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque said of the acquisition, "We’re ready to take Lucha Libre to the next level."
During the announcement Triple H was joined by AAA’s Marisela Peña and Dorian Roldán, along with a star-studded lineup of luchadores including Rey Mysterio, Stephanie Vaquer, Rey Fenix, PENTA, Andrade, El Hijo del Vikingo, Santos Escobar, and more.
