WWE Smackdown Leaving Fox Soon Than Expected!

WWE SmackDown has been airing on Fox for 5 years, but with the deals expiring there was negotiations, and USA won the bidding, so Smackdown was scheduled to move back to USA Network in October 2024.

It is now being reported that Smackdown will move a few weeks earlier than initially anticipated. USA revealed today that SmackDown will be back on the channel starting on September 13. The date means SmackDown is staying on Fridays on USA.

SmackDown is returning to USA for the first time since its departing for Fox in 2019. With SmackDown leaving, Fox will now be airing college football on Friday nights this fall.

USA Network and WWE/TKO signed a five-year deal is worth $1.4 billion in total and also includes four WWE specials per year that will air on NBC in prime time. So now USA Network will be SmackDown's home until at least 2029.

As we reported earlier this week, it was announced that WWE has struck a deal to keep WWE Raw on USA Network through the end of this year. Raw will then move to Netflix starting in January 2025.

In October till January Raw and Smackdown will both air on USA Network! But instead of USA being the one stop shop for all thing WWE just remember WWE NXT is leaving USA Network for The CW this October.
