Good Burger 2 (2023) Blu-ray Review

Growing Up I watched All That and Kenan and Kel like most my age. The chemistry between Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchel was undeniable. So popular was the Good Burger sketches on All That that in 1997 a full-length feature film was made.

Now as quarter of a century later and after some hard feeling and a reconciliation between the two. 90s kid's childhood return once again with the release of a sequel to Good Burger with Good Burger 2 now on Blu-ray!  

After a failed attempt to become a millionaire with his invention Dexter Reed (Kenan Thompson) is forced to reunite with old friend Ed (Kel Mitchell) at Good Burger. But it is not all a great reunion as soon, a not so familiar face from the past plans revenge by taking over Good Burger and firing everyone. It's up to Dex and Ed to save the day, but against all odds can they? You will have to see the film to find out!

Good Burger 2 is more than just a nostalgia film. It is a family friendly entertaining romp. Kenan and Kel's chemistry is still there all these years later. The story is so well written, and I even enjoyed the subtitle little nod to Kel's character's love for orange soda in the tv show Kenan and Kel.  

In addition to Kenan and Kel there is a lot of great cameos by Yung Gravy, Rob Gronkowski, Carmen Electra, Mia Rudolph, Mark Cuban, Ron Funches, Pete Davidson and even All that alums Lori Beth Denberg and Josh Server. These are just some of the cameos. It seemed everyone wanted to be a part of this film. These cameos make this film even more fun than it already is!

Good Burger 2 has been transferred to Blu-ray in 1080p in 2.00:1 aspect ratio. The audio is a DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. There is the option for English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing.

The film transfer to Blu-ray is really nice. There are no digital artifacts that I could see. The colors are bright and vibrant, and the flesh tone are good. The picture is crisp, and the audio is clear. This really is a nice transfer! But that is not all that was included on this Blu-ray set. There is a nice amount of bonus features. Now you can easily stream Good Burger 2 on Paramount+. But all streaming services are subject to connection issues. Which can make the quality suffer. On Blu-ray you never have that issue. It's HD all the time with no buffering. That is why I am a supporter of physical media, and always will be!
